What is the timing of the transition from Sysformance to Gomez and what will take place?
Gomez is in the process of decommissioning the Sysformance network and the Nettraffic and Veralyse product lines. The process began in the summer of last year and will be completed by March 31, 2010. Gomez has added 6 node locations in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria to augment its worldwide measurement footprint and has made these available to Sysformance customers transitioning to the Gomez products and network.
What will happen to HTTP-based testing services offered by Sysformance?
As a part of the network and product consolidation onto the Gomez offering, after March 31, 2010, HTTP testing will no longer offered from Sysformance products but will be available from the Gomez product line. Gomez is assisting Sysformance customers with the migration of their HTTP-based monitoring onto the Gomez platform.
What will happen to non-HTTP-based testing services offered by Sysformance?
Gomez will continue to support non-HTTP-based testing on the Veralyse platform for Sysformance customers past the March 31, 2010 transition. The current Gomez product does not perform non-HTTP-based (email, DNS, FTP) monitoring today. Gomez will continue to support this functionality as it works to integrate these features into the Gomez product. The non-HTTP-based testing will be offered from a reduced network footprint, operating from 8 to 10 nodes in Europe and the US.
What will happen to HTTP testing that incorporates SMS functionality as part of the test case?
Gomez will continue to support this capability past the March 31, 2010 transition until such time that the SMS capabilities are integrated into the Gomez mobile product offering. At that point Sysformance customers will be migrated onto this solution.
