Online registration for a veralyse/BASE/ "Lite" service
6 steps to the sucessful monitoring of your server

Register now, on-line, to test our automatic server-monitoring programme veralyse/BASE/ "Lite" a month long and free of charge! Just a few moments of your time and your server will be professionally monitored from two external Internet locations (providers). Should problems arise with your server you will be immediately and automatically alerted, either per e-mail, SMS, pager or fax.

Note: the instructions refer to the configuration of a veralyse/WEB/ Lite service. That product has been replaced by the Nettraffic light service. veralyse/BASE/ configuration is, with the exception of a few details, very similar.

Step 1 Start the registration process.
Step 2 During the registration process you will be given a user-name and a password. Please note these careful as they enable you to access the Sysformance web site at https://admin.sysformance.com (or via one or other of the green links "Customer Login 1" and "2" in the veralyse-Box on the left) and gain direct access to your new server monitoring service.
Step 3 With your registration now successful, open the Quick-Configuration dialogue.....
Step 4 ...and now specify the monitoring settings for your Internet server. On-line help is available, just click on the help button in upper right corner..
Step 5 Use "Back" to return to the main menu. Your monitoring system is now configured and is engaged in carrying out the first test. You recognize this by the blue bar. Wait one to two minutes and then press "Refresh".
Step 6 The bar which was blue now changes to green. Congratulations - your server is now being guarded by an automatic, professional monitoring system.

The test has failed, most likely due to a wrong hostname speicification. Return to Step 4 and correct the entry in the box "DNS-Hostname or IP-Address". However, please note that after such a correction veralyse/BASE/ "Lite" must wait 30 minutes before repeating the test. If you do not want to wait so long, click on the hammer icon in the main menu and under "Interactive veralyse/BASE/ Tools" open the menu "veralyse/BASE/ Test Run".

Are log files and statistics available?

Yes these are accessible drectly from the main menu.

We have more complex requirements!

veralyse/BASE/ "Lite" is the simplest of our services and monitors your server from only two locations, at 30 minute intervals.

In its range of products Sysformance AG has monitoring programmes of considerably greater complexity and for other purposes. For example, server monitoring from a considerably larger number of domestic and/or international locations and at much shorter test intervals. Again, we are able to monitor your DNS and e-mail servers and test the correctness of your firewall installation.
