Sysformance AG: Authoritative Center for Internet Performance Monitoring

The Internet with its associated markets is a dynamic economic force and still growing rapidly. Day for day dozens of new web sites come on line and these are mostly commercial operations. They vary from the simple home page of a company introducing itself to a wider public, over media sites to complex auction, business to consumer and business to business sites.

It's true, e- commerce is booming but it has still not won the complete and unrestricted trust of the European Internet user. Security is a topic currently more in discussion than ever and this not only in the technical press but also in the general media which more or less regularly brings it to the public's attention. In spite of this amongst Internet users the growth curve points steeply upwards. It was in context that Sysformance was founded in 1999, at that time under the name Syscontrol. The founding partners were the Swiss companies AVANTEC AG, GFR Solutions AG and Simon Poole an Internet pioneer and founder of EUnet AG (Switzerland).

In spring 2007 Sysformance was purchased by Gomez Inc., Lexington. However Sysformance continues to offer its proven measurement services side by side with Gomez products.

Sysformance operates in the field of on-line system monitoring. In contrast to the more usual internal monitoring systems the monitoring services provided by Sysformance are designed to determine if an Internet user can in fact reach the site and if so is the time taken by interactive operations and page recalls of an acceptable level.
